I need to tell a little about myself and how this great and fascinating journey through the world of photography began, well I'll try to be brief because I hope the images can speak for my words. Within the work that I love are these two more passions: eat and travel. And are on these trips to different places and countries where I dedicate myself to create a record of degustation and tours on the streets, details, lines, shapes and anonymous characters that make up every photo that is here ... The Food photography is for me pure art. In every dish that I photograph I always see myself painting a canvas, like Van Gogh, after all, photography is just that: painting with light! Food and its ingredients always fascinated me, since childhood, and I even studied culinary as well, but photography has always been my biggest passion, and that’s why I specialised in Gastronomic Photography and Still Life. Cookery Photo & Co was born from this, the love from these both forms of art! I have been a professional photographer for 20 years, studied in a few Brazilian schools and got specialised in macro and Still Life by the Instituto Italiano de Fotografia in Milan, Italy. But for sure it was photographing how I most learned. What fascinates me today is to be able to know about light, colours, shades, strengths and shapes that make it possible for every photo to be exactly like I want. The care with light and composition that is needed for food photography have become, specially, a form of art on which I dedicate all my attention and effort, so I’m able to create a gorgeous painting.
